I suppose casting news doesn't amount to much anymore because Hollywood has busied itself over the past quarter century eroding the allure of the Movie Star. However, for a Horror Franchise about movie watching, the recent headlines of the upcoming Scream 7's roll call has left me underwhelmed to say the least. It's clear to see that as the franchise winds that foreboding corner, heading towards its 30 anniversary that it's remorsefully looking back on its glory days because the upcoming sequel isn't just casting (relying upon) past characters, but dead villains. Yes Horror Fans, that same franchise that was once hip and ahead of the curve has found itself shambling around having lost its swagger, telling old jokes and using old tropes just to get by, living on name brand and past glory. We're at the point with this reliance on prior actors that this series is living in the past because it's got no future.

What an utter waste. This is what I get for being optimistic. With the exception of the animation, Predator Killer of Killers botches its premise and potential literally from the jump. From its aggressively annoying girl boss Viking opener, to its episode conclusions, to the end fight, to that surprise (?) closing scene, the disappointments were aplenty. It's almost impressive how this movie squandered so much that it had going for it. All this animated feature do was further embarrass the Predator when it had the opportunity to re-establish how dangerous this species really is. The way this movie portrays what should be recognized as the lead character, you would think that the humans are the superior race. Considering what a fail this film was, as an entry in the Predator franchise, as animated feature with a gripping plot, especially as an anthology, this paints a pretty bad picture for what director Dan Trachtenberg has in store for us later in the year with Predator Badlands.

Highest grossing, ya say? Original, ya say? I don't know what's worse, that they post these bold face lies because no one will question them or that evidence contradicting their narrative is readily available. Stop glazing #Sinners already
