Welcome Horror Fans to not just a first for the channel, but the first of three 2025 Horror Previews that your Horror Host, Inkarnate has in store for you this week. First up on the chopping block is Scary Movies for the year. Well, 2025 is off to a rough start with 3 seeming disappointments and outright bombs. Here's hoping these don't set the tone for the remaining 11 months, but to be honest, in yet another calendar full of prequels, sequels, spinoffs, remakes, and adaptations, it may have just done that, inadvertently. As always, you can expect a fair and reliable evaluation of what the genre has on tap, but rest assured, I ain't pulling any punches. Having set the tone for my video, it ain't all gloom and doom as there are some (few) bright spots ahead to give Horror a chance to shine. Considering the foot that the year is off to, it could use a win or three.

What an utter waste. This is what I get for being optimistic. With the exception of the animation, Predator Killer of Killers botches its premise and potential literally from the jump. From its aggressively annoying girl boss Viking opener, to its episode conclusions, to the end fight, to that surprise (?) closing scene, the disappointments were aplenty. It's almost impressive how this movie squandered so much that it had going for it. All this animated feature do was further embarrass the Predator when it had the opportunity to re-establish how dangerous this species really is. The way this movie portrays what should be recognized as the lead character, you would think that the humans are the superior race. Considering what a fail this film was, as an entry in the Predator franchise, as animated feature with a gripping plot, especially as an anthology, this paints a pretty bad picture for what director Dan Trachtenberg has in store for us later in the year with Predator Badlands.

Highest grossing, ya say? Original, ya say? I don't know what's worse, that they post these bold face lies because no one will question them or that evidence contradicting their narrative is readily available. Stop glazing #Sinners already
