All the hype in the world couldn't budge my jaded ass from raining on everyone's parade and dropping truth bombs on the party. The recent reveal of the #ResidentEvilRequiem trailer for the upcoming 9th game in the mainline franchise had me wondering what all the buzz was about, and that was after I even watched the trailer. The news that Capcom was returning to the ruin of Raccoon City has me cringing until I shook with anger and disappointment. I know exactly where this is headed and I don't mean the series old stomping grounds. This lazy bid for nostalgia has all the hallmarks of the creative bankruptcy Hollywood has found themselves in with recent cinema. Instead of celebrating the 30 year anniversary with something ground-breaking to push the franchise forward and in a new direction, set your sights towards memory lane for redundancy and member berries. I've long said that the worst type of trash is celebrated trash so the fact that people are actually excited that we're being treated to this franchise slog shows me that RE fans have grown every bit as shambling as the series cannibal corpses, I'm referring to Capcom.

What an utter waste. This is what I get for being optimistic. With the exception of the animation, Predator Killer of Killers botches its premise and potential literally from the jump. From its aggressively annoying girl boss Viking opener, to its episode conclusions, to the end fight, to that surprise (?) closing scene, the disappointments were aplenty. It's almost impressive how this movie squandered so much that it had going for it. All this animated feature do was further embarrass the Predator when it had the opportunity to re-establish how dangerous this species really is. The way this movie portrays what should be recognized as the lead character, you would think that the humans are the superior race. Considering what a fail this film was, as an entry in the Predator franchise, as animated feature with a gripping plot, especially as an anthology, this paints a pretty bad picture for what director Dan Trachtenberg has in store for us later in the year with Predator Badlands.

Highest grossing, ya say? Original, ya say? I don't know what's worse, that they post these bold face lies because no one will question them or that evidence contradicting their narrative is readily available. Stop glazing #Sinners already
Thank you fans for 4 Year of Livestreaming Survival Horror. My anniversary was yesterday but we're going to keep the Horror going tonight. Mind Games at Play
Was I the only one disappointed by #ResidentEvilRequiem trailer? They're not following the Hollywood recycling of the Original "because 30th anniversary", they're creatively bankrupt. You know you're fresh out of fresh ideas when the RE movies already told this story
