I'm going to level with you folks. Between the uninspired marketing and the bare bones ingredients that this latest sequel has to promote, things ain't looking promising for old Ghostface. The writers have had 3 years since the last cash grab and if the audience score is anything to go by, this film and by extension the franchise is in for a world of hurt. It's unfortunate that this is the sequel that managed to get Neve Campbell back because based on the reception, Scream 7 is looking to be the death knell for the franchise that frankly has been ringing since Scream 2022. The return to a small town and the addition of Sidney's daughter don't look like they're enough to breathe new life into this dying series, but the being the case it's my job to provide my feedback and call it how I see it.

What an utter waste. This is what I get for being optimistic. With the exception of the animation, Predator Killer of Killers botches its premise and potential literally from the jump. From its aggressively annoying girl boss Viking opener, to its episode conclusions, to the end fight, to that surprise (?) closing scene, the disappointments were aplenty. It's almost impressive how this movie squandered so much that it had going for it. All this animated feature do was further embarrass the Predator when it had the opportunity to re-establish how dangerous this species really is. The way this movie portrays what should be recognized as the lead character, you would think that the humans are the superior race. Considering what a fail this film was, as an entry in the Predator franchise, as animated feature with a gripping plot, especially as an anthology, this paints a pretty bad picture for what director Dan Trachtenberg has in store for us later in the year with Predator Badlands.

So now that #Sinners won Oscars at the #AcademyAwards can we stop crying about how "Horror always gets snubbed" and stop overrating this 'From Dusk Till Dawn' Ripoff?
