Just when we thought it was smooth sailing towards the debut of Lee Cronin's upcoming The Mummy, a final trailer descends upon the fandom like a sandstorm. But fear not, your Horror Host Inkarnate is on the scene to provide his Gut Reaction to the latest trailer. This preview delves deeper into the kidnapping, the captivity, the homecoming, while keeping it all under wraps (pun intended). I go over the mastery of one scene that says so much while discussing another that concerns me over the film's quality and tone. It's hard to believe the thought that after all these years, for a subgenre that's almost a century old that we're only now getting our first true attempt at a pure horror Mummy movie, but I'm along for the ride and excited to see what lore there's left to explore.

What an utter waste. This is what I get for being optimistic. With the exception of the animation, Predator Killer of Killers botches its premise and potential literally from the jump. From its aggressively annoying girl boss Viking opener, to its episode conclusions, to the end fight, to that surprise (?) closing scene, the disappointments were aplenty. It's almost impressive how this movie squandered so much that it had going for it. All this animated feature do was further embarrass the Predator when it had the opportunity to re-establish how dangerous this species really is. The way this movie portrays what should be recognized as the lead character, you would think that the humans are the superior race. Considering what a fail this film was, as an entry in the Predator franchise, as animated feature with a gripping plot, especially as an anthology, this paints a pretty bad picture for what director Dan Trachtenberg has in store for us later in the year with Predator Badlands.
