You love to see it happen. Horror fans, join me in celebration and welcoming 2026's first hit Horror film. When we're far too often numb to such hyperbole like "a thrill ride of emotions", it only hits harder when a film delivers on just that. The terror that a family endures over the return of its abducted members sees parents turn on each before this malevolence comes for their children. The many wrinkles to this movies plot, one laid intricately over the other, a second paying off what another had set up is truly commendable. This is a triumph for writer/director Lee Cronin. His gamble paid off and after Evil Dead Rise, he is now two for two in rejuvenating Franchise and Subgenres. Do you want another overused hyperbole that this film absolutely nails? "Edge of your seat." You don't know where the pitch is coming, may be out of left field, but suffice it to say that Cronin swung for the fences and delivered a homerun. Masterful stuff.

What an utter waste. This is what I get for being optimistic. With the exception of the animation, Predator Killer of Killers botches its premise and potential literally from the jump. From its aggressively annoying girl boss Viking opener, to its episode conclusions, to the end fight, to that surprise (?) closing scene, the disappointments were aplenty. It's almost impressive how this movie squandered so much that it had going for it. All this animated feature do was further embarrass the Predator when it had the opportunity to re-establish how dangerous this species really is. The way this movie portrays what should be recognized as the lead character, you would think that the humans are the superior race. Considering what a fail this film was, as an entry in the Predator franchise, as animated feature with a gripping plot, especially as an anthology, this paints a pretty bad picture for what director Dan Trachtenberg has in store for us later in the year with Predator Badlands.
