While I can't be blamed for this movie's hype, I'm am left wondering what exactly were people hyping about it. "Scary as hell", "This movie delivers", "an Irish Horrorfest". I'm at a loss as to whether these were paid shills or not. Now, I will credit this film with good suspense, but I have to deduct points for its anemic story. Ultimately, the movie suffers from not giving its audience a reason to ever return to it should the option present itself. Another point that I cover in this Reaction Video is that it subverts the very genre it was meant to deliver, which isn't just an odd choice but frankly deceitful. I had hoped that we had a sleeper hit on our hands but it looks more like a one hit wonder. That's really saying something considering this isn't a sequel. I was anticipating the lore that this film was going to tell and the psychological thrill ride the witch was going to take our protagonist and others on. I was disappointed with both because that's not what this movie's about.

What an utter waste. This is what I get for being optimistic. With the exception of the animation, Predator Killer of Killers botches its premise and potential literally from the jump. From its aggressively annoying girl boss Viking opener, to its episode conclusions, to the end fight, to that surprise (?) closing scene, the disappointments were aplenty. It's almost impressive how this movie squandered so much that it had going for it. All this animated feature do was further embarrass the Predator when it had the opportunity to re-establish how dangerous this species really is. The way this movie portrays what should be recognized as the lead character, you would think that the humans are the superior race. Considering what a fail this film was, as an entry in the Predator franchise, as animated feature with a gripping plot, especially as an anthology, this paints a pretty bad picture for what director Dan Trachtenberg has in store for us later in the year with Predator Badlands.
