Five years since the last film, 34 years in the making. We've finally arrived at the follow up to the Mortal Kombat reboot. It can't be worse than Annihilation right? The movie's got new kids on the block to join the fight in the form of Baraka and Noob Saibot, Kitana and Jade, the final boss Shao Kahn, and yes Johnny Cage. The guy we just can't get away from. While I am hoping for the best, the marketing hasn't exactly been impressive. I'm glad that old favorites like Scorpion and breakout star Kano are back, but there just seems like there's something missing with this latest sequel. Here's hoping that lessons have been learned from the first middling film and the blood sport can capitalize on its R-Rating, cast of Kombatants, deliver the carnage that the game, tournament, and franchise are known for, and that the fans deserve.

Inspector Inkarnate is on the case of the missing children from #WeaponsMovie & has just pinned his prime suspect
What an utter waste. This is what I get for being optimistic. With the exception of the animation, Predator Killer of Killers botches its premise and potential literally from the jump. From its aggressively annoying girl boss Viking opener, to its episode conclusions, to the end fight, to that surprise (?) closing scene, the disappointments were aplenty. It's almost impressive how this movie squandered so much that it had going for it. All this animated feature do was further embarrass the Predator when it had the opportunity to re-establish how dangerous this species really is. The way this movie portrays what should be recognized as the lead character, you would think that the humans are the superior race. Considering what a fail this film was, as an entry in the Predator franchise, as animated feature with a gripping plot, especially as an anthology, this paints a pretty bad picture for what director Dan Trachtenberg has in store for us later in the year with Predator Badlands.
