How does this keep happening? One disappointment after another. For a franchise that got by on short films, mastery of full length features seems to evade it. I wasn't expecting Backrooms to spell out is scenario, but between psychiatric tangents, absent plot progression, and unsatisfying ending, this movie can't be called anything but a disappointment. While searching each of the rooms its a shame that an interesting story couldn't be found amongst them. What was found was ultimately uninteresting. Even the addition of psychological elements both within or outside the Backrooms couldn't get the job done. Before anyone is heard popping the cork on this "new era" of low budget cinema, I think we could all use a reality check.

Inspector Inkarnate is on the case of the missing children from #WeaponsMovie & has just pinned his prime suspect
What an utter waste. This is what I get for being optimistic. With the exception of the animation, Predator Killer of Killers botches its premise and potential literally from the jump. From its aggressively annoying girl boss Viking opener, to its episode conclusions, to the end fight, to that surprise (?) closing scene, the disappointments were aplenty. It's almost impressive how this movie squandered so much that it had going for it. All this animated feature do was further embarrass the Predator when it had the opportunity to re-establish how dangerous this species really is. The way this movie portrays what should be recognized as the lead character, you would think that the humans are the superior race. Considering what a fail this film was, as an entry in the Predator franchise, as animated feature with a gripping plot, especially as an anthology, this paints a pretty bad picture for what director Dan Trachtenberg has in store for us later in the year with Predator Badlands.
