2026 cannot catch a break. I've only lost count how many duds and disappointment this year has produced in the realm of Horror and at the time of this writing, the year is only half over. From non-existent characterization to a barebones plot to political messaging that's so heavy handed you'd think it was dragging it's knuckles. An Evil Dead should be anything but boring, but this movie is uninteresting from every angle. A funeral as a cause to bring estranged family together within the world of the Deadites should be a match made in Horror and a script that writes itself. This movie fails to get any mileage out of its setting despite returning the franchise to the secluded wooded location. The scares and kills aren't anything to write home about and frankly this movie on the whole is utterly forgettable. Cardinal Sin if you ask me.

What an utter waste. This is what I get for being optimistic. With the exception of the animation, Predator Killer of Killers botches its premise and potential literally from the jump. From its aggressively annoying girl boss Viking opener, to its episode conclusions, to the end fight, to that surprise (?) closing scene, the disappointments were aplenty. It's almost impressive how this movie squandered so much that it had going for it. All this animated feature do was further embarrass the Predator when it had the opportunity to re-establish how dangerous this species really is. The way this movie portrays what should be recognized as the lead character, you would think that the humans are the superior race. Considering what a fail this film was, as an entry in the Predator franchise, as animated feature with a gripping plot, especially as an anthology, this paints a pretty bad picture for what director Dan Trachtenberg has in store for us later in the year with Predator Badlands.
