If you're adapting a film for the franchise that redefined cannibal corpses, then you get the director of the granddaddy of them all. If that dream project never gets made, then you make a documentary on the movie that could've been. George Romero's work in creating our impression of the modern zombie was the stuff of legend. As much as his "Dead" movies carried the torch to further cement the undead in pop culture, the Resident Evil games took these monsters to the next level with viral strains, boss battles, corporate conspiracies, memorable monsters, and likeable heroes. It is with great regret that this dream project never came to fruition, but through the magic of documentaries, we can take a peak behind the scenes of drawing boards, interviews, and scripts of what a legendary director envisioned for his film adaptation as well as the reasons why it never came to be.

What an utter waste. This is what I get for being optimistic. With the exception of the animation, Predator Killer of Killers botches its premise and potential literally from the jump. From its aggressively annoying girl boss Viking opener, to its episode conclusions, to the end fight, to that surprise (?) closing scene, the disappointments were aplenty. It's almost impressive how this movie squandered so much that it had going for it. All this animated feature do was further embarrass the Predator when it had the opportunity to re-establish how dangerous this species really is. The way this movie portrays what should be recognized as the lead character, you would think that the humans are the superior race. Considering what a fail this film was, as an entry in the Predator franchise, as animated feature with a gripping plot, especially as an anthology, this paints a pretty bad picture for what director Dan Trachtenberg has in store for us later in the year with Predator Badlands.
