In the lead up to the upcoming #HellraiserRevival your Ctrl Freak Inkarnate thought that the fans might just appreciate a trip down memory lane. On today's OVERCAST, I'll be taking a look at the "lost" Hellraiser games that whether for tech limitations, budget constraints, studio interference, or all other manner of reasons preventing the box from opening. Perhaps the denial of a game for the franchise was a blessing in disguise (if such a thing is possible for a Hellraiser game). The long wait and the many failed attempts was a torment all its own. However, perhaps that was the best. With so many factors potentially restraining what could've been Hellraiser games, it is better to have no game in a series than a bad one. Regardless, we are gathered here to experience the Development Hell for the Hellraiser Games

What an utter waste. This is what I get for being optimistic. With the exception of the animation, Predator Killer of Killers botches its premise and potential literally from the jump. From its aggressively annoying girl boss Viking opener, to its episode conclusions, to the end fight, to that surprise (?) closing scene, the disappointments were aplenty. It's almost impressive how this movie squandered so much that it had going for it. All this animated feature do was further embarrass the Predator when it had the opportunity to re-establish how dangerous this species really is. The way this movie portrays what should be recognized as the lead character, you would think that the humans are the superior race. Considering what a fail this film was, as an entry in the Predator franchise, as animated feature with a gripping plot, especially as an anthology, this paints a pretty bad picture for what director Dan Trachtenberg has in store for us later in the year with Predator Badlands.
