Imagine, if you will, being haunted by bad dreams only to wake into a living nightmare. Imagine, if you dare, going out in search of answers to trauma, only to land yourself in a world of dread. Imagine, if you can, only seeing the world one way, that's terrifying enough, just to get dragged into another realm that paints reality in an even more ghostly light. Welcome to #TenebrisSomnia where we play as Julia, a woman plagued by mental anguish who in a bid to play the good Samaritan and check on the well-being of a former lover, finds herself dragged into the very world that tormented her sleep. The very world she dreamt of she has now landed in. The very monsters she saw attacking her ex-boyfriend, are now stalking her. A haunted house, puzzle-solving mechanics, pixel art gameplay - it's all just so delightfully retro. And if that weren't enthralling enough, the game's main selling point is littered with the 90's era Survival Horror trope of FMV (Full Motion Video) filmed in high quality studio level video. Can we survive or are we a permanent fixture of this house of horrors?

What an utter waste. This is what I get for being optimistic. With the exception of the animation, Predator Killer of Killers botches its premise and potential literally from the jump. From its aggressively annoying girl boss Viking opener, to its episode conclusions, to the end fight, to that surprise (?) closing scene, the disappointments were aplenty. It's almost impressive how this movie squandered so much that it had going for it. All this animated feature do was further embarrass the Predator when it had the opportunity to re-establish how dangerous this species really is. The way this movie portrays what should be recognized as the lead character, you would think that the humans are the superior race. Considering what a fail this film was, as an entry in the Predator franchise, as animated feature with a gripping plot, especially as an anthology, this paints a pretty bad picture for what director Dan Trachtenberg has in store for us later in the year with Predator Badlands.
