For a movie about a movie star, the Clayface film is twice as vapid. For a villain that can turn into anything and take the form of anyone, I'm stunned how they blew every opportunity to deliver on what should've been a homerun. Instead they struck out. Everything you see from the trailers is what you get in the movie. There isn't any creativity or inventive kills, so why make it Rated R? This film isn't scary or suspenseful so why make it a Body Horror? Everything from the plot to the performances was uninspired. To say that Clayface is underwhelming doesn't begin to scratch the surface. It could've had deep, relatable themes of identity and vanity, but settles for exposition. This movie could've shown how shallow and skin deep actors and by extension Hollywood is, but it'd rather water down such an impactful message in a time where showbiz is dying out, studios are getting bought up, and the movie star has died. What an utter waste. Clayface had the makings of an instant classic, and now it's just wasted material.

What an utter waste. This is what I get for being optimistic. With the exception of the animation, Predator Killer of Killers botches its premise and potential literally from the jump. From its aggressively annoying girl boss Viking opener, to its episode conclusions, to the end fight, to that surprise (?) closing scene, the disappointments were aplenty. It's almost impressive how this movie squandered so much that it had going for it. All this animated feature do was further embarrass the Predator when it had the opportunity to re-establish how dangerous this species really is. The way this movie portrays what should be recognized as the lead character, you would think that the humans are the superior race. Considering what a fail this film was, as an entry in the Predator franchise, as animated feature with a gripping plot, especially as an anthology, this paints a pretty bad picture for what director Dan Trachtenberg has in store for us later in the year with Predator Badlands.
