Gotta give it up to the Simpsons. They've really knocked it out of the park this year. They gave us a Horror special called Yellow Mirror in the summer, their annual Treehouse of Horror special, and tonight we stream their Halloween special, The Revengening. A Halloween killer has come to Springfield to hack a bloody trail and paint the town red. And to think this happens because Mayor Quimby bans a traditional Halloween in favor of Safe-O-Ween. Serves him right, he didn't think that one through. We've got a slasher parody on our hands and time to kill.

What an utter waste. This is what I get for being optimistic. With the exception of the animation, Predator Killer of Killers botches its premise and potential literally from the jump. From its aggressively annoying girl boss Viking opener, to its episode conclusions, to the end fight, to that surprise (?) closing scene, the disappointments were aplenty. It's almost impressive how this movie squandered so much that it had going for it. All this animated feature do was further embarrass the Predator when it had the opportunity to re-establish how dangerous this species really is. The way this movie portrays what should be recognized as the lead character, you would think that the humans are the superior race. Considering what a fail this film was, as an entry in the Predator franchise, as animated feature with a gripping plot, especially as an anthology, this paints a pretty bad picture for what director Dan Trachtenberg has in store for us later in the year with Predator Badlands.
