During the Age of Discovery, conquistadors arrive on the Chilean coast with hopes of conquest and a mission to enrich the Spanish crown. The vast wilderness demands taming by the cutlass, but little do these treasure hunters realize that they've entered into a curse jungle. They're scouring the wilderness to the entrance of a mysterious Mound, unaware that this is the gateway to a subterranean civilization, home to ancient idols, wildlife, an indigenous culture, cultists, human mutations, and cosmic terrors. Truly, these hapless treasure hunters are in store for more than they bargained for. Worse still, than the horrors that they're forced to confront is the madness that takes them. Mirages that display frightful parodies of human and animal fool the eyes, sounds and whispers appear to come from the very jungle, friends turn foes and then back again. We have doubtlessly entered uncharted territory.

What an utter waste. This is what I get for being optimistic. With the exception of the animation, Predator Killer of Killers botches its premise and potential literally from the jump. From its aggressively annoying girl boss Viking opener, to its episode conclusions, to the end fight, to that surprise (?) closing scene, the disappointments were aplenty. It's almost impressive how this movie squandered so much that it had going for it. All this animated feature do was further embarrass the Predator when it had the opportunity to re-establish how dangerous this species really is. The way this movie portrays what should be recognized as the lead character, you would think that the humans are the superior race. Considering what a fail this film was, as an entry in the Predator franchise, as animated feature with a gripping plot, especially as an anthology, this paints a pretty bad picture for what director Dan Trachtenberg has in store for us later in the year with Predator Badlands.
