After over 70 years, one would think that we would've seen all that we're going to out of Godzilla. And then all of a sudden and without warning, the 2023 Minus Zero dropped and breathed new life into a familiar monster. The artistry, the character work, the human story, the family bond, and the realism, all ingredients coalesced to deliver an impressive, quality the heights and likes of which the American 2014 hoped to capture. Now, 3 years later, Toho is back at it again, Godzilla rises once more, and Inkarnate is here with a PreCaution Movie Preview. Here I give the synopsis for the plot, my impression on the film, and hopes for this sequel. This follow up has been said to take on more of an action role compared to the grounded story of the first film. With the introduction of King Ghidorah, this will depict much more monster action than Minus Zero. However, with the same writer and director combo as the previous movie, I'm confident that this film will deliver another hit that retains the humanity even amongst monsters making war.

What an utter waste. This is what I get for being optimistic. With the exception of the animation, Predator Killer of Killers botches its premise and potential literally from the jump. From its aggressively annoying girl boss Viking opener, to its episode conclusions, to the end fight, to that surprise (?) closing scene, the disappointments were aplenty. It's almost impressive how this movie squandered so much that it had going for it. All this animated feature do was further embarrass the Predator when it had the opportunity to re-establish how dangerous this species really is. The way this movie portrays what should be recognized as the lead character, you would think that the humans are the superior race. Considering what a fail this film was, as an entry in the Predator franchise, as animated feature with a gripping plot, especially as an anthology, this paints a pretty bad picture for what director Dan Trachtenberg has in store for us later in the year with Predator Badlands.
